Retired bank executive is named UofL’s Alumnus of the Year

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Daniel Ulmer, owner of the Louisville Bats baseball franchise and former chairman and CEO of PNC Bank, Kentucky, has been named by the University of Louisville Alumni Association as 2011 Alumnus of the Year.

    The 1955 graduate is a former chairman of UofL’s Board of Trustees and has been an adviser and mentor to the university’s College of Business. He also has been active in the community, serving in leadership roles for organizations such as the Metro United Way, Operation Brightside, Fund for the Arts, Metro Parks and the Chamber of Commerce.
