LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Students at J. B. Atkinson Academy for Excellence in Teaching and Learning will get an entertaining lesson in physics Nov. 13 when a traveling program that helps people understand and explore the science pays a visit to the school.

The University of Louisville’s Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium is hosting the 9:30 a.m. show—The Wonders of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison—which includes exploding balloons, a fire extinguisher rocket, light prisms and more. Students are encouraged to participate in the experiments.

    J. B. Atkinson, at 2811 Duncan Street, is a UofL Signature Partnership school. Signature Partnership is a university effort to enhance the quality of life and economic opportunity for residents of West Louisville.
