LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville Labor-Management Center wants to highlight the achievements of a workplace where unions and management cooperate.

The center and its advisory board are seeking nominations of workplaces for the eighth annual labor-management award, which will be presented at an April 19 banquet.

Workplaces where union-management teams have promoted or shown positive relations will be considered. The area includes Kentucky and the southern Indiana counties of Clark, Floyd, Harrison and Scott.

Workers can nominate their own workplaces, as can other individuals with sufficient knowledge about their nominees.

Nominations postmarked on or before Feb. 16 will be considered. The nomination packet includes a list of 13 award criteria, although nominees need not meet all the criteria.

A panel representing several business sectors, including management, labor and economic development, will choose the award winner.

To obtain a nomination form, call the U of L Labor-Management Center,(502) 852-6482, or check online at: www.louisville.edu/cbpa/lmc.
