LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Institutes of Health has extended funding for the Kentucky IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (KY-INBRE), a University of Louisville-led collaboration between six state universities. The $15 million funding boost will carry the program through 2013.
The goal of the collaboration is to increase biomedical and health-related research and training, and bolster bioinformatics, the information technology component that facilitates and furthers the research.
