LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville has approved a plan for the Brandeis School of Law to hold a belated ceremony for 2020 graduates on April 24.

The small, outdoor ceremony will take place on The Oval in front of Grawemeyer Hall. The Ballroom in the Student Activities Center will be used in case of inclement weather.

All UofL, state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines regarding COVID-19 precautions will be strictly followed.

This ceremony will be for 2020 law school graduates only.

No decision has been made whether in-person commencement exercises will be held for Spring 2021 graduates of the university as a whole. The UofL Commencement Committee has been meeting weekly to discuss options that would provide graduates and guests a safe and meaningful experience. A decision will be announced as soon as possible.

The university conducted virtual commencement ceremonies in 2020 due to the pandemic.
