LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Nearly 3,000 students will graduate from the University of Louisville this semester and just over 1,800 will take part in commencement May 14 at the KFC Yum! Center.
To allow time for each graduate to cross the stage and receive a diploma, there will be two ceremonies. The schedule is:
10 a.m. – College of Arts and Sciences, School of Dentistry, School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies, School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Music, School of Nursing and School of Public Health and Information Sciences
2 p.m. – College of Business, College of Education & Human Development, Kent School of Social Work and J. B. Speed School of Engineering
A coffee and dessert reception for graduates and their families will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the main concourse.
Student speakers will be School of Music graduate Anna Patterson, a native of Floyd Knobs, Ind., at the 10 a.m. event and Kent School of Social Work graduate Sarah Morgan, from Alexandria, Va., at the 2 p.m. event. UofL President James Ramsey will preside at both ceremonies.
